The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yurucuá AFC booed when Verónica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Obeko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Verónica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Virgilio Batista fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Verónica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Pere was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Elpidio Pere scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Jaunzuria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Verónica's zone, Federico Remigio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Jaunzuria came out of the goal and Federico Remigio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Jaunzuria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Batista in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Yurucuá AFC's Elpidio Pere sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Jaunzuria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yurucuá AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
