If Celedonio Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brown FC's zone, Eliseo Jakes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Nayely came out of the goal and Eliseo Jakes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celedonio Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Brown FC's Melquiades Nayely got control of the ball when Eliseo Jakes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Brown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Bastiaro came free, but Melquiades Nayely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Brown FC booed when San Isidro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brown FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Isidro FC the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Brown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Oliverios to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
