Spectators: 7162 (Terracing: 5373, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cirilo Perfecto started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Perfecto in the 5th minute of play forced Club Atletico Sarmiento's goalkeeper Froilan Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Froilan Izotz came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Reartes's Constantino Bertin. But to his dismay, Constantino Bertin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Club Atletico Sarmiento's Froilan Izotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Bertin in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Reartes booed when Club Atletico Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Perfecto hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Sarmiento's Andres Marz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ildefonso Roldanillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Odilon in the 16th minute of play forced Reartes's goalkeeper Ildefonso Roldanillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Gai made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Atletico Sarmiento's Reynaldo Chorache. Andres Marz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ildefonso Roldanillo made a huge save. Froilan Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Estefan in the 27th minute of play. Cirilo Perfecto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Izotz having to interfere. Froilan Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match, Leonides Odilon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ildefonso Roldanillo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonides Odilon to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Sarmiento's goalkeeper Froilan Izotz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantino Bertin. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Felipo came free, but Froilan Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Constantino Bertin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Froilan Izotz. Club Atletico Sarmiento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Bertin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Estefan came free, but Froilan Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Sarmiento's Andres Marz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Club Atletico Sarmiento's Sixto Lalla was substituted for Virgílio Novaes. After 66 played minutes Club Atletico Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Andres Marz. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Estefan came free, but Froilan Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atletico Sarmiento's Hugo Lore was substituted for Leonides Odilon. Reynaldo Chorache hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Felipo in the 71st minute of play forced Club Atletico Sarmiento's goalkeeper Froilan Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Reartes booed when Club Atletico Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Sarmiento's Hector Abastas got a free kick in the 78th minute. Froilan Izotz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantino Bertin went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Cirilo Perfecto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 87 minutes of play, Reartes's Constantino Bertin made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Froilan Izotz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jimeno Estefan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Froilan Izotz came out and tried to block the shot, but Jimeno Estefan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute Cirilo Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Club Atletico Sarmiento fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Reartes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
