Arrutó's Alberto Etor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Beliran in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Elvio Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Etor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Txomin struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Alberto Etor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pasion por el futbol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Iratxo in the 10th minute of play forced Arrutó's goalkeeper Alberto Etor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute of the game Adrian Gregory made a throw-in which Rodrigo Beltxe played forward. In the 41st minute Elvio Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Etor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pasion por el futbol's Nicanor Beliran got a free kick in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Pasion por el futbol's Isidoro Dacio got control of the ball when Eduardo Salvatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee showed Jairo Blanco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute of the match Adrian Gregory sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidoro Dacio skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Arrutó booed when Pasion por el futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Iratxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pasion por el futbol's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
