Spectators: 7167 (Terracing: 5377, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Gustavo Azevedo kicked off to start the match. Leonel Maxin came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Quebrachos FC's Leonides Enekoitz. But to his dismay, Leonides Enekoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lucio Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Christoffer Gjelsten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Maxin was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoffer Gjelsten in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Maxin saved River Plate from getting behind. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Azevedo hit a great ball. River Plate's Luiz Gustavo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Christoffer Gjelsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Llin kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Leonides Enekoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Enekoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Maxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Gjelsten in the 41st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Leonel Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Maxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christoffer Gjelsten went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christoffer Gjelsten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Humberto Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Franco in the 52nd minute of the match. River Plate's Leonel Maxin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Gjelsten in the 56th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Leonel Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's Leonel Maxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Fidele in the 60th minute of play. Lucio Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Humberto Dimas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Niceto Kauldi got a free kick in the 64th minute. River Plate's Leonel Maxin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Leonel Maxin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoffer Gjelsten's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 71 minutes, Christoffer Gjelsten made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. River Plate's Leonel Maxin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the game, River Plate's Lucio Franco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Dimas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Leonel Maxin made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Leonides Enekoitz sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Christoffer Gjelsten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebrachos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Quebrachos FC's Nicasio Asier got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Nicasio Asier took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Leonel Maxin to make any attempt to save it.
