Racing club la academia's Ceferino Ignado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Ciano in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match, Alfonso Etxekopar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ceferino Ignado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ceferino Ignado was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Iker Isusko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iker Isusko really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Gabrio during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Racing club la academia getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Remigio Gabrio hit a great ball. Iker Isusko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ceferino Ignado made a huge save. Åke Fribäck scored 2-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Efrain Atauri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Racing club la academia's goalkeeper Ceferino Ignado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Etxekopar. If Alfonso Etxekopar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Iker Isusko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Ceferino Ignado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42ndth minute of the game Alfonso Etxekopar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing club la academia's Ceferino Ignado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nunez Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Iker Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hilario Hechter made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Åke Fribäck got free with Efrain Atauri in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Ciano in the 55th minute of play forced Racing club la academia's goalkeeper Ceferino Ignado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Racing club la academia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nunez Venerando hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Alfonso Etxekopar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Ignado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Venerando couldn't finish the play. C.A. El Chaqueño walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
