Aquilino Miros short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Orlando Egun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Txomin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Claypole FC booed when INDEPENDIENTE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Berdoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Salvino came free, but Orlando Egun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claypole FC's Aquilino Miro pulled a muscle in his back after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Faustino Txomin's late challenge caught a Claypole FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Txomin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE FC's Faustino Txomin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute of the match, Marcelino Errolan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orlando Egun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 29 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Txomin. Rafael Berdoi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Errolan got free with Orlando Egun in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Costante during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelino Errolan to make the kick off. Claypole FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Errolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Claypole FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Claypole FC's Marcelino Errolan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Claypole FC's Isaac Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Ellande in the 75th minute of play. Ildephonso Tene struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Isaac Magdaleno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Marcelino Errolan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claypole FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Errolan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Egun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ildephonso Tene could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Isaac Magdaleno made a huge save.
