Mertheolates F.C's Generoso Perfecto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Miro in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute Aquilino Miro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Perfecto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Claypole FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Egoi came free, but Isaac Magdaleno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Luis Salvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Mertheolates F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Errolan came free, but Generoso Perfecto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Luis Salvino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Claypole FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Generoso Perfecto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Errolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes in the game, Celestino Tajo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Isaac Magdaleno having to interfere. Mertheolates F.C's Aquiles Rexino got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Marcelino Errolan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mertheolates F.C's Generoso Perfecto. Generoso Perfecto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Generoso Perfecto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Errolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Salvino made a kick off. Generoso Perfecto made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Aquilino Miro sent off a good shot on target. Aquiles Rexino scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaac Magdaleno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute Luis Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Perfecto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Salvino in the 64th minute of play forced Mertheolates F.C's goalkeeper Generoso Perfecto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Errolan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Generoso Perfecto made a huge save. Luis Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Generoso Perfecto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Mertheolates F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Salvino came free, but Generoso Perfecto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Garaile in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Magdaleno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Marcelino Errolan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Perfecto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. With a little luck, Mertheolates F.C's Generoso Perfecto got control of the ball when Luis Salvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mertheolates F.C's Generoso Perfecto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Mertheolates F.C from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mertheolates F.C booed when Claypole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Uxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claypole FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
