The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of LOS VIOLADORES booed when Ombucto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Huly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Peruanton hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Carolo Ilazki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 minutes of play, Ombucto FC's Rosendo Botello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Jakobe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rosendo Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Jakobe having to interfere. Nereo Birila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteban Belasko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Adrian Koldo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Birila in the 31st minute of play forced Ombucto FC's goalkeeper Adrian Koldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Botello in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Herena in the 46th minute of play forced LOS VIOLADORES's goalkeeper Aurelio Jakobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Rosendo Botello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Jakobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosendo Botello to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lisandro Roland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carolo Ilazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Jakobe having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carolo Ilazki in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Jakobe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to LOS VIOLADORES getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Lisandro Roland hit a great ball. LOS VIOLADORES's Aurelio Jakobe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save LOS VIOLADORES from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the LOS VIOLADORES defense, Rosendo Botello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Jakobe. The LOS VIOLADORES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Jakobe should have stopped the shot. If Anastasio Herena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Constantino Santxol lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of LOS VIOLADORES:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ombucto FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Aurelio Jakobe, was totally fooled by Ombucto FC's Carolo Ilazki, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rosendo Botello succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 79th playminute. Rosendo Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Jakobe having to interfere. Rosendo Botello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosendo Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aurelio Jakobe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ombucto FC's Anastasio Herena got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Jakobe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Botello in the 95th minute. Carolo Ilazki scored 0-5 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Jakobe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
