In the 26th match minute, Saraza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. Frederico Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Julio Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Defensores de Nuñez's Aaron Reno got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Mouricio got free with Zeledon Elixio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zeledon Elixio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Mouricio in the 34th minute. If Cristobal Bikendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Saraza FC's Alfonso Mouricio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Zeledon Elixio was a little too slow when Alfonso Mouricio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Frederico Goiano made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Goiano in the 55th minute of play forced Saraza FC's goalkeeper Julio Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Elixio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Mouricio's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute, Frederico Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores de Nuñez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Julio Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Bikendi in the 67th minute of play. Saraza FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristobal Bikendi 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Joel Ostadar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeledon Elixio. Defensores de Nuñez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Candido Roldanillo scored 2-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Elixio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
