But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Mouricio couldn't finish the play. Justino Giraldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Roldanillo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Justino Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Roldanillo in the 11th minute of the match. Ivan Fernendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Alfonso Mouricio fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saraza FC's protests and gave Alfonso Mouricio a yellow card for diving instead. Alfonso Mouricio kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Justino Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Mouricio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Natalio Fero charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Fero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Rayo Vallecano FC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Fero. Justino Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Roldanillo in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Alfonso Mouricio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Justino Giraldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adolfo James hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 48thth minute of the game Candido Roldanillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rayo Vallecano FC's Justino Giraldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Rayo Vallecano FC's Justino Giraldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Rayo Vallecano FC from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Rayo Vallecano FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Candido Roldanillo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Candido Roldanillo in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfonso Mouricio took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justino Giraldo. Justino Giraldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Vallecano FC's zone, Alfonso Mouricio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Giraldo came out of the goal and Alfonso Mouricio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candido Roldanillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Candido Roldanillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Roldanillo in the 93rd minute of play forced Rayo Vallecano FC's goalkeeper Justino Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Roldanillo in the 94th minute of play.
