Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Bibiano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Damaso Idacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Ciano in the 4th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Manuel Laurentzi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Natalio Fero charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Fero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Rayo Vallecano FC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Fero. After a defensive mix-up in Arboledas's zone, Bernardino Ciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Idacio came out of the goal and Bernardino Ciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardino Ciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Damaso Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Arboledas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Panpili to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Bibiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Justino Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rayo Vallecano FC's Lisandro Iyan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Arboledas's Francisco Bibiano got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enrique Panpili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Giraldo having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Rayo Vallecano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Bibiano came free, but Justino Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Arboledas's zone, Bernardino Ciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Idacio came out of the goal and Bernardino Ciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Hernan Ermano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Vallecano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Ermano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Idacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 51 minutes, Bernardino Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayo Vallecano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Ciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ivan Fernendo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Rayo Vallecano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Fernendo couldn't finish the play. Francisco Bibiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justino Giraldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Bibiano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute Francisco Bibiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Francisco Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Bibiano in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Hernan Ermano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Francisco Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Raimundo Diagur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arboledas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Diagur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Francisco Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivan Fernendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Idacio having to interfere. Bernardino Ciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Idacio having to interfere. Justino Giraldo came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Arboledas's Francisco Bibiano. But to his dismay, Francisco Bibiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Francisco Bibiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Giraldo having to interfere. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, Rayo Vallecano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Handi to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arboledas had played much better football throughout.
