Ezequiel Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Mingo having to interfere. Damaso Txeru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Bordat in the 17th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Honesto put in a rough tackle. Invictus Ultimatum FC's Ruperto Martxel was substituted for Ceferino Matei. The wind increased when Saverio Bordat made the kick off in the second half. Saverio Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Damaso Txeru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laguna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hermengildo Faron came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Laguna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Faron couldn't finish the play. Bartolo Cuarto's late challenge caught a Invictus Ultimatum FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Cuarto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Invictus Ultimatum FC booed when Laguna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Laguna got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Frantzes. In the 97th minute, Saverio Bordat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Invictus Ultimatum FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Laguna had controlled the match.
