Ismael Cordairo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Guillermo Barea made a huge save. Norberto Rodriguez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guillermo Barea came out and tried to block the shot, but Norberto Rodriguez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After 10 minutes, Zé Pedro Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delicia FC and the Obanta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes Delicia FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Meirelles. A collision led to Obanta AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Humberto Niguel hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Norberto Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Placido Cordario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Obanta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Cordeiro. In the 23rd minute, Horacio Maidana had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Rodriguez during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Obanta AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Norberto Rodriguez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Zé Pedro Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delicia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Cordario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Simon Tibalt could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Guillermo Barea however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Tibalt got free with Guillermo Barea in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Ricardo Luzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Delicia FC's Guillermo Barea got control of the ball when Ismael Cordairo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ismael Cordairo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Rodriguez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Rodriguez in the 56th minute of play forced Delicia FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Cordairo in the 58th minute of the match. Guillermo Barea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Cordairo in the 63rd minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Obanta AFC's Norberto Rodriguez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillermo Barea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adolfo Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Zé Pedro Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delicia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Pedro Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Pedro Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Placido Cordario having to make a save. Luisito Mouricio charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisito Mouricio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Delicia FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luisito Mouricio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Rodriguez in the 88th minute of play forced Delicia FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Pedro Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Delicia FC booed when Obanta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Barea came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Obanta AFC's Simon Tibalt. But to his dismay, Simon Tibalt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Guillermo Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Rodriguez in the 99th minute of the match. Obanta AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Delicia FC for a fine match.
