Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltasar Inguma in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Garin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anastasio Atarratze during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mar FC's Anastasio Atarratze got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mar FC's zone, Baltasar Inguma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Garin came out of the goal and Baltasar Inguma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Alberto Justin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Martxel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Boca Juniors's Baltasar Inguma got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mar FC's Mauricio Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Inguma in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Eustacio Venceslas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mar FC's Jairo Abadia got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mar FC's Alberto Justin got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Veremundo scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Garin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute Alberto Justin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Martxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mar FC's Mauricio Garin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Mar FC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Mauricio Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Inguma in the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Jairo Abadia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Abadia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvestre Martxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Isaac Roano's late challenge caught a Mar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Roano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Isaac Roano got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Mar FC's Nemesio Izel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Martxel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Nemesio Izel might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Martxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Izel ran back to his position shaking his head. Gervasio Aragones hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Agustin Fertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Silvestre Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Martxel made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jairo Abadia sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, Agustin Fertus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Garin. Mar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustin Fertus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Abadia in the 78th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Silvestre Martxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Martxel having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Mar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Isidro Veremundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Garin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
