Victorino Lapurdi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Instituto de Cba.'s goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Perutxo came free, but Ciro Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Gregorio Remicio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Instituto de Cba.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legionarios del Desierto the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Instituto de Cba. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Remicio to maneuver through the defense. Legionarios del Desierto's Antonio Errando couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Instituto de Cba.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Calixto in the 35th minute of play forced Instituto de Cba.'s goalkeeper Ciro Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Medardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Bartolucci in the 37th minute of the match. Legionarios del Desierto's Justino Medardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Legionarios del Desierto from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Bartolucci in the 45th minute of play forced Legionarios del Desierto's goalkeeper Justino Medardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Calixto made a kick off. Victorino Lapurdi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ciro Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legionarios del Desierto. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto de Cba.'s zone, Antonio Errando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Santos came out of the goal and Antonio Errando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Santos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto de Cba.'s zone, Victorino Lapurdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Santos came out of the goal and Victorino Lapurdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Legionarios del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Gizon. Ciro Santos was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Denis Calixto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Denis Calixto really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Legionarios del Desierto's Justino Medardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Remicio in the 72nd minute of play. Honorato Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ciro Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Instituto de Cba.'s Adan Bladi got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Emanuele Bartolucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Medardo was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. When Emanuele Bartolucci fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Instituto de Cba.'s protests and gave Emanuele Bartolucci a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Instituto de Cba. got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Bartolucci.
