The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s Placido Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Froila in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4thth minute of the game Elpidio Froila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s Placido Etxahun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Etxahun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elpidio Froila went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Elpidio Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Elpidio Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Etxahun having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Froila in the 26th minute of play forced Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s goalkeeper Placido Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elpidio Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Elpidio Froila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s Placido Etxahun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Luz during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute Elpidio Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Froila in the 40th minute of play forced Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s goalkeeper Placido Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Luz in the 43rd minute of the match. Elpidio Froila might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Placido Etxahun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Froila ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when Mauro Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Camilo Pedroso hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Américo Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Placido Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Placido Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Froila in the 72nd minute of play. Frenahaybaçhe F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Américo Luz scored to the left of an out of position Placido Etxahun, making the score, 1-3. Gabriel Evis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Incendio, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Carlos Abascal struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Gabriel Evis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frenahaybaçhe F.C.. After 86 played minutes Frenahaybaçhe F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Incendio. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiberto Darien kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Placido Etxahun. That made the score 1-4 in the 89 minute of play. Deseado FC played a much better game than Frenahaybaçhe F.C. and deserved their victory. The Frenahaybaçhe F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
