In the 21stth minute of the game Gervasio Mitxaut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranquiles FC's Antonio Ourente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gervasio Mitxaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Senon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaston Panpili in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Braulio Silviano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ciro Celipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Antonio Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Ourente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Celipe's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Ciro Celipe put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Ourente. Gervasio Mitxaut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melchor Senon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Silviano having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Senon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Nahia struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Antonio Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores Unidos Zarate. Ciro Celipe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Antonio Ourente when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Antonio Ourente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Mitxaut in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Defensores Unidos Zarate booed when Ranquiles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Peio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Ranquiles FC's protests and gave Gaston Panpili a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ranquiles FC's Gaston Panpili got a free kick in the 81st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Antonio Ourente successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ciro Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Ourente having to interfere. Ranquiles FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gervasio Mitxaut 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. 88 minutes into the game, Ciro Celipe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Ourente. Ciro Celipe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Gaston Panpili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Braulio Silviano having to make a save. Defensores Unidos Zarate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
