Mendoza S.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Ojota Curarú the free kick. La Ojota Curarú's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Nayely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gencer Boysan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The La Ojota Curarú players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mendoza S.C were winning 0-1.

After a rather tough play, La Ojota Curarú's Everardo Nayely got a free kick in the 51st minute. Cecilio Santxol got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Claudio Boni. After a defensive mix-up in La Ojota Curarú's zone, Gencer Boysan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Aznar came out of the goal and Gencer Boysan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Urki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Firman's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Claudio Boni kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Everardo Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the La Ojota Curarú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Nayely couldn't finish the play. When Cayetano Macias came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mendoza S.C fans jumped to their feet.
