With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Dodorol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, El Ciclón's goalkeeper Hugo Cristofor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Martxot. Haroldo Bernaldo lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Independiente FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Delmar Evis sped through Independiente FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andres Dodorol. Julian Mouricio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmar Evis in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Dodorol saved Independiente FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Ezequiel Txindoki put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Andres Dodorol. 41 minutes into the game, El Ciclón's Delmar Evis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andres Dodorol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Leonides Paulin made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Benito Martxot. The supporters of Independiente FC booed when El Ciclón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benito Martxot was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, El Ciclón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Jerrold to maneuver through the defense. When David Onofre came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Independiente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Onofre couldn't finish the play. Andres Dodorol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmar Evis in the 71st minute. After 71 played minutes Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Julian Mouricio. Andres Dodorol was a little too slow when Delmar Evis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-6. After 78 played minutes Delmar Evis rounded Independiente FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. Haroldo Cordarrel got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Benito Martxot. Benito Martxot hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, El Ciclón's Ezequiel Txindoki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. If Delmar Evis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Ciclón walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
