The referee showed Faustino Lugo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palmitas's Faustino Lugo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Almirante Brown's Dalmacio Elixio got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Palmitas booed when Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Guillelme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Orlanda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孟傲迪, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Palmitas fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Palmitas's 孟傲迪 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, Faustino Lugo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Orlanda. Almirante Brown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Lugo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 27 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Elixio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmitas the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Elixio to maneuver through the defense. Palmitas's Ladislao Uzuri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Palmitas from getting a goal against them. Ladislao Uzuri made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Trevor Sutton sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Orlanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 孟傲迪 in the 38th minute of the match. Marcos Diegotxe took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Orlanda. Jorge Orlanda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 42 played minutes Palmitas got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Lugo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Diegotxe in the 45th minute of play forced Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Jorge Orlanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dalmacio Elixio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Jorge Orlanda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Diegotxe. After a defensive mix-up in Almirante Brown's zone, Marcos Diegotxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Orlanda came out of the goal and Marcos Diegotxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Trevor Sutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Orlanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孟傲迪, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jorge Orlanda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Diegotxe in the 61st minute. Palmitas's 孟傲迪 was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ladislao Uzuri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Elixio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, 孟傲迪 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorge Orlanda, 0-6. When Cecilio Azubeli fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almirante Brown's protests and gave Cecilio Azubeli a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Almirante Brown! In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Palmitas. Faustino Lugo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Orlanda. 0-7. Norberto Evarado's late challenge caught a Palmitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Evarado helped the player get up and apologised. 83 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Jorge Orlanda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Diegotxe.
