But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Locaio couldn't finish the play. Domingos Celino came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ciro Nel could save by the left post. Cornelio Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Cornelio Vergaray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Vergaray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ciro Nel made a huge save. Leonel Pietro's late challenge caught a La Buenos Aires F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Pietro helped the player get up and apologised.
