Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogelio Beturian took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leonides Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Leo Erramu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Erramu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorato Ebardo went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Detroit Reds FC's goalkeeper Venancio Cebrian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Etxekopar. Detroit Reds FC's Venancio Cebrian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Detroit Reds FC from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Etxekopar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Felix Fidensio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Alvarez in the 25th minute of play forced Churqui's goalkeeper Leo Erramu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Churqui's Marcelino Etxekopar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Demesio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Venancio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit Reds FC's zone, Marcelino Etxekopar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Cebrian came out of the goal and Marcelino Etxekopar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Etxekopar got free with Venancio Cebrian in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelino Etxekopar took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Cebrian. Venancio Cebrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Venancio Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit Reds FC's zone, Marcelino Etxekopar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Cebrian came out of the goal and Marcelino Etxekopar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Etxekopar made a kick off. The Churqui fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Churqui's Marcelino Etxekopar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Inocencio Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Churqui's protests and gave Inocencio Herrera a yellow card for diving instead. Inocencio Herrera hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Leo Erramu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Alvarez in the 63rd minute. Churqui's Leo Erramu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Cloyo in the 68th minute of play. Marcelino Etxekopar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Venancio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Demesio might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Cebrian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Demesio ran back to his position shaking his head. Ovidio Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Gaspar Odol sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Detroit Reds FC's Venancio Cebrian didn't even have to move. In the 83rd minute, Marcelino Etxekopar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Churqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ernesto Demesio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Churqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Demesio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Cebrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Churqui had played much better football throughout.
