Hector Domingues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luis Llanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Hector Domingues made a huge save. If Yan Scicluna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Los Araucanos 's Luis Llanos got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute, Victorio Aresti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hector Domingues. The goal made the score 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Kaidos del Katre's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Llanos came free, but Hector Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yan Scicluna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Araucanos 's Alberto Bonifaco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Domingues. That made the score 4-0 after 38 minutes of play. Los Araucanos 's Jonas Milian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Gartzen in the 42nd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Los Araucanos made a substitution. Miguel Eliazar replaced Victorio Aresti. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yan Scicluna to make the kick off. Los Araucanos 's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yan Scicluna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 72 minutes into the match, Kaidos del Katre's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Eliazar came free, but Hector Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilano Gartzen in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Milian saved Los Araucanos from getting behind. Hector Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Eliazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Eliazar in the 85th minute of play forced Kaidos del Katre's goalkeeper Hector Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
