Hermelando Torio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Paris in the 9th minute of play. Macondo were furious when Rick Grimes was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Macondo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leones Olavarrienses FC:s goal. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Macondo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donato Elazar was slow to take the kick. During this time Leones Olavarrienses FC's players had a chance to rest. Rene Conrao made a great header on Leones Olavarrienses FC's corner, it was just that Macondo's Hermelando Torio managed to reach the ball for a save. Javier Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimeno Boni hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leones Olavarrienses FC reached it. A collision led to Macondo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Javier Batistuta hit a great ball. With his leg Hermelando Torio managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Leones Olavarrienses FC's Adriano Paris fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Georg Abrahamsson made a precise shot to the right of Hermelando Torio. Macondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 57th minute, Georg Abrahamsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermelando Torio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Leones Olavarrienses FC's Georg Abrahamsson in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Adriano Paris came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Leones Olavarrienses FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Paris couldn't finish the play. After 79 played minutes Leones Olavarrienses FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Mendez. When Jimeno Boni was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Leones Olavarrienses FC's Flavio Maureo was substituted for Laureano Matxin. In the 85th minute, Jimeno Boni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Nisio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hermelando Torio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leones Olavarrienses FC's Gaston Kepel in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macondo's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Gaston Kepel put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hermelando Torio. In the 93rd minute, Aurelio Tulio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermelando Torio was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Leones Olavarrienses FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
