After 11 minutes of play, Madryn's Vincent Luirink made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantino Katia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in KaNiShKa's zone, Bruno Lazzaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Katia came out of the goal and Bruno Lazzaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Bruno Lazzaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madryn's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Lazzaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Katia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Madryn's Vicente Jesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Sexto in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Cipriano Pasqual mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KaNiShKa and the Madryn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes KaNiShKa got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Pasqual. Constantino Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Lazzaro in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Madryn's Arturo Iratxo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Paranaense to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Madryn's Arturo Iratxo got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Dino Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Jesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Dino Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. KaNiShKa's Constantino Katia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save KaNiShKa from getting a goal against them. Vicente Jesco came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by KaNiShKa's Dino Paranaense. But to his dismay, Dino Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
