Spectators: 5220 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 70) Alegre's Cesar Hanot started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Chacarita Juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cesar Hanot fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Hernan Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hernan Loren sped through Alegre's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruperto Mingo. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita Juniors's goalkeeper Feliciano Lehior, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Alegre's Godofredo Rudolfo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Cipriano Bilbo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Bilbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Alegre got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Bilbo. In the 22nd minute of the match Bruno Abeita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruperto Mingo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cesar Hanot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Hernan Loren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Mingo was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Hernan Loren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th match minute, Alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Primo to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Gonzales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cesar Hanot fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alegre's protests and gave Cesar Hanot a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alegre getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cesar Hanot hit a great ball. Hernan Loren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ruperto Mingo made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Alegre's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Gonzales came free, but Ruperto Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Alegre defense, Zeledon Gonzales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Mingo. The Alegre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Mingo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Chacarita Juniors getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Xavi Xavier hit a great ball. Alegre's Alonzo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Zeledon Gonzales dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruperto Mingo, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Alegre's Cesar Hanot got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Zeledon Gonzales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Loren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ruperto Mingo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 90 minutes into the match, Alegre's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Gonzales came free, but Ruperto Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeledon Gonzales in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruperto Mingo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruperto Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Chacarita Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alegre throughout the match.
