With a couple of smart ball manuevers Åke Vallengren in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Urdaspal saved Chiyuyoc FC from getting behind. 6 minutes into the game, Severino Caradaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maximo Urdaspal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sune Tomasson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltasar Fero went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sune Tomasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelino Cloyo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Cloyo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Sune Tomasson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 28th minute, Universo's Narcís Maluenda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Narcís Maluenda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Universo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Narcís Maluenda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Universo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chiyuyoc FC:s goal. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Severino Caradaro sped through Chiyuyoc FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximo Urdaspal. Thanks to some nice moves Baltasar Fero could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Sune Tomasson however easily saved by the left post. Sune Tomasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltasar Fero to strike the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Fero took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sune Tomasson. Sune Tomasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. 56 minutes into the match, Placido Marquez notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Universo's Sune Tomasson. Sune Tomasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sune Tomasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Marquez's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Fero in the 61st minute of play forced Universo's goalkeeper Sune Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sune Tomasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Universo defense, Baltasar Fero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sune Tomasson. The Universo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sune Tomasson should have stopped the shot. After having played for 68 minutes, Baltasar Fero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiyuyoc FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Fero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Pacifico during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Chiyuyoc FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Pacifico to maneuver through the defense. When Marcelino Cloyo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Universo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Cloyo couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Angel Naldo notched a goal, 7-2, to the right of Universo's Sune Tomasson. Sune Tomasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sune Tomasson came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Chiyuyoc FC's Baltasar Fero. But to his dismay, Baltasar Fero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Placido Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sune Tomasson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Marquez in the 86th minute of play forced Universo's goalkeeper Sune Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Universo defense, Baltasar Fero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sune Tomasson.
