Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Longchamps's Armando Jaunzuria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Beremundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Celipe didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 6th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 10th minute, Eugenio Mino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Faustino Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayacucho's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Baldovino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Beremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Faustino Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute of the match, Armando Jaunzuria tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Celipe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Jaunzuria in the 28th minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Marcelo Celipe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Mino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Jaunzuria in the 32nd minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Marcelo Celipe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Armando Jaunzuria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Celipe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Mino took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Celipe. Marcelo Celipe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Faustino Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pedro Beremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Armando Jaunzuria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Celipe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Beremundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Baldovino in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Longchamps's Albino Caetano got a free kick in the 57th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Longchamps's goalkeeper Pedro Beremundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Leizarraga. After 71 played minutes Ayacucho got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Montes. Marcelo Celipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eguerdi in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Ayacucho got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Roldanillo. The supporters of Longchamps booed when Ayacucho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ayacucho's Marcelo Celipe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Mino in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Ayacucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. When Faustino Baldovino got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Ayacucho. Eugenio Mino scored 3-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Celipe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustino Baldovino might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Beremundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Baldovino ran back to his position shaking his head.
