The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregorio Gonchan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Medina during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dante Medina hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Gerardo Fernado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Teobaldo Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Hendrik-Jan Klerk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Min took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teobaldo Cordero. Boca Jrs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Clemente Erasto managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Boca Jrs's Clemente Chuse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Ezequiel Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Boca Jrs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Blanco couldn't finish the play. If Ezequiel Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Erasto made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Clemente Chuse sent off a good shot on target. Ezequiel Blanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Clemente Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Defensores de Caballito's Clemente Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Blanco in the 38th minute of play. Ezequiel Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clemente Chuse might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Erasto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clemente Chuse ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Clemente Chuse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Erasto. Defensores de Caballito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemente Chuse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Blanco to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Caballito's goalkeeper Clemente Erasto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Clemente Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Blanco in the 57th minute of play forced Defensores de Caballito's goalkeeper Clemente Erasto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Chuse in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Chuse in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Erasto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89th play minutes Clemente Chuse shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Clemente Erasto and just under the crossbar into goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Jrs fully deserved thier win.
