The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bella Vista F.C's Silvestre Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cresconio in the 5th minute of play. In the 13th minute Felix Lauaxeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Barraquero getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Aurelio Abaurre hit a great ball. Aurelio Abaurre's late challenge caught a Bella Vista F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Abaurre helped the player get up and apologised. Clodoveo Giraldo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dalmacio Matro. After a rather tough play, Bella Vista F.C's Gaspar Norino got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Birila in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clodoveo Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th match minute, Barraquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Barraquero's Clodoveo Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Birila in the 34th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Israel Oier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barraquero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bella Vista F.C the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Barraquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Oier to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Cresconio to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bella Vista F.C's goalkeeper Silvestre Urtats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelio Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Barraquero booed when Bella Vista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Lauaxeta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Barraquero got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Enekoitz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Polentzi in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clodoveo Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Barraquero's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Lauaxeta came free, but Clodoveo Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Urtats came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Barraquero's Emanuel Cresconio. But to his dismay, Emanuel Cresconio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 74th minute of the match, Emanuel Cresconio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvestre Urtats was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Clodoveo Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Polentzi in the 78th minute of play forced Barraquero's goalkeeper Clodoveo Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Abechuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Cresconio in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Urtats saved Bella Vista F.C from getting behind. Clodoveo Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes, Alfonso Abechuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barraquero and the Bella Vista F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Barraquero got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Abechuco. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
