Barraquero's Clodoveo Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Beltza in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Abad in the 28th minute of play forced Barraquero's goalkeeper Clodoveo Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Barraquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Claude to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Barraquero's Aurelio Abaurre got a free kick in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Barraquero's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Beltza came free, but Clodoveo Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angel Abad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barraquero's Clodoveo Giraldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Barraquero from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Maximino Enekoitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Santos Benvide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Israel Oier during the 94th minute.
