Azulgrana Mecanica's Donato Cugat got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Belo took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Neto. Gabriel Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Río Cuarto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Peres came free, but Hilario Cristofor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arnaldo Telo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Río Cuarto FC's protests and gave Arnaldo Telo a yellow card for diving instead. Arnaldo Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Arí Peres came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Azulgrana Mecanica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Peres couldn't finish the play. Miguel Llorenc's late challenge caught a Río Cuarto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After the first half Río Cuarto FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arí Peres made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Padro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gabriel Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Neto having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when Fernan Oalo put in a rough tackle. Hilario Cristofor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Angelo Padro struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gabriel Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Río Cuarto FC. Sebastian Hotz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Azulgrana Mecanica booed when Río Cuarto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Telo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Peres in the 85th minute of play. Arí Peres struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Celestino Ezkerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gabriel Neto came out of the goal and Arnaldo Telo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Padro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Gabriel Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azulgrana Mecanica were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Río Cuarto FC to leave the ground with a draw.
