The Club Atletico Gran Lanus fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Club Atletico Gran Lanus's Sebastian Arce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd minute Piotr Chodzinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Alfonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Piotr Chodzinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Alfonso. LEPRA 74's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piotr Chodzinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After having played for 39 minutes, Tobias Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Gran Lanus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Donzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Sebastian Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Alfonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Club Atletico Gran Lanus were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Cordairo made a kick off. Piotr Chodzinski might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mario Alfonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Llanos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Jaunzuria. Club Atletico Gran Lanus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tobias Donzel in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Alfonso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Mario Alfonso managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Club Atletico Gran Lanus's Sebastian Arce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruno Gaueko might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mario Alfonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. LEPRA 74's Mario Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Arce in the 73rd minute of play.
