Artemio Eleder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Melchor Osorio fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macondo's protests and gave Melchor Osorio a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Macondo got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Osorio. Artemio Eleder was a little too slow when Sebastian Arce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-1. Carmelo Teodor charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Teodor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Macondo got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Teodor. Artemio Eleder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Donzel in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute Sebastian Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Eleder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico Gran Lanus's Piotr Chodzinski got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th play minute Sebastian Arce came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Artemio Eleder. 4-1. After 41 minutes of play Macondo's Melchor Osorio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Macondo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Melchor Osorio hit a great ball. Club Atletico Gran Lanus made a substitution. Patrick De Smedt replaced Tiburcio Ospin. In the 44th match minute, Macondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Osorio to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Gran Lanus's Sebastian Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artemio Eleder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macondo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Sebastian Arce scored to the left of an out of position Artemio Eleder, making the score, 5-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Arce was the one to do the kick off. Artemio Eleder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Arce in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Arce in the 60th minute of play forced Macondo's goalkeeper Artemio Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Arce in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Eleder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artemio Eleder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tobias Donzel went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Sebastian Arce sped through Macondo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artemio Eleder. A collision led to Macondo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gavino George hit a great ball. Baltasar Aztore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artemio Eleder. Macondo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Arce in the 81st minute of play forced Macondo's goalkeeper Artemio Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes, Sebastian Arce made it 9-1 with a short kick to the right side. Macondo's Artemio Eleder tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastian Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Eleder having to interfere. In the 92ndth minute of the game Sebastian Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macondo's Artemio Eleder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Club Atletico Gran Lanus were the better team. Club Atletico Gran Lanus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
