The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Ibon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Manilan charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Salto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, LEPRA 74's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ibon came free, but Mario Alfonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Salto AFC's Gonzalo Ibon made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Alfonso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gonzalo Ibon came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Salto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Ibon couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Gonzalo Ibon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Mehmet Şefik Sonalp made a precise shot to the right of Mario Alfonso. LEPRA 74's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 95 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's goalkeeper Guido Masetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Kepa. In the 96th minute, one of LEPRA 74:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LEPRA 74. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Salto AFC. Teofilo Santiago stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Alfonso. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Salto AFC fully deserved thier win.
