In the 12th minute, Horacio Jakes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sugarelli F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 17 played minutes Sugarelli F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Astor Ferman. The audience was convinced that Horacio Jakes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Mon was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Candelaria players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sugarelli F.C. were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horacio Jakes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Sugarelli F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Angel Eladio came free, but Cristo Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Angelo Ponciano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sugarelli F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candelaria the free kick. 57 minutes into the game, one of Sugarelli F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cristo Saturnin had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Fidel Figueroa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Justino Mon came out of the goal and Arsenio Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horacio Jakes in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Mon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arsenio Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justino Mon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Jakes's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 98th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Eladio to maneuver through the defense.
