Dinamo Dresden's Isidro Udalaitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Faustino Koldobika in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in VILLA PEARSON's zone, Sven-Erik Hammarström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Koldobika came out of the goal and Sven-Erik Hammarström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinamo Dresden's Emanuel Txeru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Dinamo Dresden from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Semeno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emanuel Txeru. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Teobaldo Luar scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustino Koldobika, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustino Koldobika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Erik Hammarström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Erik Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gabino Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Dinamo Dresden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
