Faustino Koldobika was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in VILLA PEARSON's zone, Anibal Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Koldobika came out of the goal and Anibal Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Koldobika stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Maule's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Ramon Karlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lanteri's Atilano Madeo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Faustino Koldobika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Maule in the 34th minute of the match. When Anibal Atauri came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Lanteri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Atauri couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lanteri booed when VILLA PEARSON was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Semeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led to Lanteri's Benedicto Maule getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramon Karlo to strike the kick off in the second half. VILLA PEARSON's Faustino Koldobika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Maule in the 52nd minute of play. Godfredo Refugio's late challenge caught a VILLA PEARSON's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
