Everardo Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Etxahun having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Victorino Leoncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibarlucea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Leoncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Ayala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Everardo Etxahun made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Mario Harkaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Harkaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Cordeal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severiano Ponc's late challenge caught a Ibarlucea AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Ponc helped the player get up and apologised. Severiano Ponc hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Ibarlucea AFC's Braulio Tome shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Everardo Etxahun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibarlucea AFC reached it. Abel Cordeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Ayala in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Angelo Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Ikatz kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Benito Ayala in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Everardo Etxahun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th match minute, Ibarlucea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Ikatz to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Leoncio to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Leoncio in the 55th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Everardo Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Ibarlucea AFC's Braulio Tome to fire away a dangerous shot which Everardo Etxahun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ibarlucea AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Braulio Tome in the 61st minute. Braulio Tome made a great header on Ibarlucea AFC's corner, it was just that Manchester United's Everardo Etxahun managed to reach the ball for a save. Benito Ayala struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Everardo Etxahun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibarlucea AFC. Abel Cordeal made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Angelo Abaunza sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the game, Israel Fresco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibarlucea AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibarlucea AFC's goalkeeper Abel Cordeal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Victorino Leoncio fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibarlucea AFC's protests and gave Victorino Leoncio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Severiano Ponc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Ibarlucea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Tome. Severiano Ponc was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Ibarlucea AFC booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Prospero Urdaspal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibarlucea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Urdaspal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Leoncio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Victorino Leoncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Ayala in the 87th minute of the match. Victorino Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Everardo Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manchester United's Everardo Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Tome in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ibarlucea AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Manchester United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
