The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guido Urtsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Florin in the 5th minute of play. Luis Rexino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Iratxo having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Bernaldo. 21 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Servando came free, but Isaias Iratxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Luis Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leonel Millano came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Nueva Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Millano couldn't finish the play. Manucho FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Ruperto Florin scored to the left of an out of position Guido Urtsin, making the score, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Manucho FC's Luciano Montrelle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaias Iratxo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Rexino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Urtsin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Florin in the 43rd minute. Fabricio Servando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaias Iratxo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Santos Dolcet kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Fabricio Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manucho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Iratxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruperto Florin was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play Nueva Chicago's Santos Dolcet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 57th minute, Santos Dolcet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Rexino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isaias Iratxo. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. When Nunez Rosario fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nueva Chicago's protests and gave Nunez Rosario a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Nunez Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nueva Chicago fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute, the referee gave Manucho FC a penalty. Alonzo Izel looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Isaias Iratxo. The supporters of Nueva Chicago booed when Manucho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Fliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Ixidor charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Ixidor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Ixidor hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Luis Rexino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manucho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Isaias Iratxo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabricio Servando's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Fabricio Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manucho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Iratxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Luis Rexino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manucho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Rexino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Manucho FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nueva Chicago.
