If Cipriano Guillelmus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Atlas F.C.'s Anastasio Fiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeronimo Garikoitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Sergio Argider's late challenge caught a Atlas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Argider helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jagüé getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sergio Argider hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Atlas F.C.'s Cipriano Guillelmus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeronimo Garikoitz. Jeronimo Garikoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Anastasio Fiz had several of the Jagüé's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Jeronimo Garikoitz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jeronimo Garikoitz made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Anastasio Fiz sent off a good shot on target. Sidney Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, one of Atlas F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlas F.C.. The referee gave Jagüé a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felipe Pudes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlas F.C.'s Sidney Prestes. 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Muc was the one to do the kick off. Geronimo Fresco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jagüé's zone, Geronimo Fresco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Garikoitz came out of the goal and Geronimo Fresco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlas F.C.'s Sidney Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Argider in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Guillelmus in the 61st minute of play forced Jagüé's goalkeeper Jeronimo Garikoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlas F.C.'s Anastasio Fiz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Gervasio Distiratsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Jeronimo Garikoitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Fiz in the 77th minute of play forced Jagüé's goalkeeper Jeronimo Garikoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Fiz in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Garikoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Geronimo Fresco came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Atlas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Fresco couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Txeru in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeronimo Garikoitz saved Jagüé from getting behind. Jeronimo Garikoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Txeru in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Armando Txeru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atlas F.C. made a substitution. Cleto Bernat replaced Federico Medero. Jeronimo Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Txeru, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
