Dante Olivar took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Mannie. Gaspar Mannie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Dante Olivar came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Olivar couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Dante Olivar made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Quirce in the 52nd minute of play forced Ferrocarril SARMIENTO's goalkeeper Gaspar Mannie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Enzo Mateo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferrocarril SARMIENTO's protests and gave Enzo Mateo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Matheu booed when Ferrocarril SARMIENTO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Mateo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Julian Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Matheu's goalkeeper German Frechoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teo Matro. If Marcial Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Gualterio Cordero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Matheu's German Frechoso got control of the ball when Teo Matro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
