The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Santurce:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Muñiz:s goal. Silvestre Ilazki went to the wrong direction when Domingo Ubelteso was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Maximo Macias hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Ubelteso got free with Silvestre Ilazki in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingo Ubeltesos short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Silvestre Ilazki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gavino Padro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bedir Karluk in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Ilazki saved Santurce from getting behind. Domingo Ubelteso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Silvestre Ilazki made a huge save. Benigno Garaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Gonsalvo having to interfere. Santurce's Silvestre Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedir Karluk in the 34th minute of play. Domingo Ubelteso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Silvestre Ilazki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Bedir Karluk put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Silvestre Ilazki. 44 minutes into the match, Santurce's goalkeeper Silvestre Ilazki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Ubelteso. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavino Padro during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santurce's Gavino Padro got a free kick in the 46th minute. A long shot from Cirilo Artizar in the 47th minute of play was well struck, but Silvestre Ilazki made a really good save at the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bedir Karluk was the one to do the kick off. Benigno Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Muñiz's Domingo Ubelteso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Ilazki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 58 played minutes Santurce got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Manilan. If Bedir Karluk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Domingo Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedir Karluk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santurce's goalkeeper Silvestre Ilazki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75thth minute of the game Domingo Ubelteso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santurce's Silvestre Ilazki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alejandro Efren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Ilazki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedir Karluk in the 92nd minute of play. After 92 played minutes Santurce got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Manilan. Silvestre Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedir Karluk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Muñiz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santurce had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
