Vicente Cugat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Clementi in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Guaberto Ursino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacó and the Rochahuasi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rochahuasi FC booed when Curacó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Ursino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Hug in the 28th minute of the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amador Hug to make the kick off.
