With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Cebo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeronimo Geofredo saved C.A. Velez Sarsfield from getting behind. The supporters of Cerrillos booed when C.A. Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Musko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Cerrillos's Paolo Oihan tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jeronimo Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Cebo in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho das Neves in the 26th minute of play forced Cerrillos's goalkeeper Nicasio Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeronimo Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Eutropio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho das Neves in the 33rd minute of play forced Cerrillos's goalkeeper Nicasio Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cerrillos's Enrique Illan got a free kick in the 39th minute. But to his dismay, Godofredo Elazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Godofredo Elazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nicasio Bonifaco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, C.A. Velez Sarsfield's Godofredo Elazar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Bonifaco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicasio Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnulfo Eutropio got free with Jeronimo Geofredo in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Godofredo Dino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Bonifaco having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Godofredo Elazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Elazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Bonifaco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esteban Sedeni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Bonifaco having to interfere. Godofredo Elazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicasio Bonifaco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play.
