Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Godofredo Elazar made the kick off which started today's match. Godofredo Elazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cachiñal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 5th minute there was a penalty for C.A. Velez Sarsfield. Esteban Sedeni stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emilio Asier. 0-1. Cachiñal's Silvestre Librado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jeronimo Geofredo but with some difficulty. After 12 played minutes C.A. Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Americo Garin. Haroldas Sagurskis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godofredo Elazar in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilio Asier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Lluques was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Edgard Conrao who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Jeronimo Geofredo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jeronimo Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Leizarraga in the 24th minute of play. Emilio Asier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Cachiñal's Severino Costante got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. Velez Sarsfield's Mats Svensson got a free kick in the 39th minute. The supporters of Cachiñal booed when C.A. Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Edgard Conrao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Conrao came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeronimo Geofredo could save by the left post. After the first half C.A. Velez Sarsfield were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

C.A. Velez Sarsfield's Jeronimo Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Conrao in the 53rd minute of play. Godofredo Elazar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Emilio Asier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marcelinho das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Emilio Asier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A. Velez Sarsfield's Jeronimo Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Conrao in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Cachiñal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Costante to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Sedeni struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Emilio Asier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Velez Sarsfield. 71 minutes into the match, Abel Musko sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Emilio Asier threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Abel Musko this time. After a rather tough play, Cachiñal's Severino Costante got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to C.A. Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Haroldas Sagurskis hit a great ball. Lucio Obeko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Emilio Asier made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cachiñal's Ruperto Ranolfo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Cachiñal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Lucio Obeko scored to the left of an out of position Emilio Asier, making the score, 0-3. 91 minutes in the game, Haroldas Sagurskis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emilio Asier having to interfere. C.A. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Leonel Jaizki replaced Esteban Sedeni. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Velez Sarsfield's zone, Edgard Conrao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Geofredo came out of the goal and Edgard Conrao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Edgard Conrao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Cachiñal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A. Velez Sarsfield's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A. Velez Sarsfield.
