Paolo Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 63rd minute, one of Noetinger:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Noetinger. Zeledon Llanos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Silvestre Aztore kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Armando Gurutz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Paolo Batista 68 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Noetinger's Florentino Tibalt got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes, Boca Juniors's Bernardino Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paolo Batista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boca Juniors reached it. Paolo Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Gurutz in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Herminio Bernal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paolo Batista was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Tibalt came free, but Anibal Abrego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Herminio Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Bernal couldn't finish the play.
