But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Egun couldn't finish the play. Igor Egun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Paulino Cordario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Igor Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Sugar in the 23rd minute of the match. Paulino Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Sugar in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Grütly AFC's Igor Egun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The Grütly AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Egun was the one to do the kick off. After 87 minutes, Rogelio Sugar made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Antilla's Paulino Cordario tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 90 minutes, Igor Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grütly AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Egun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Antilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Goiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Igor Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antilla's Paulino Cordario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Egun in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Grütly AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Antilla throughout the match.
