After 13 minutes, Lorenzo Nafarroa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the El Taladro Nórdico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angel Inautzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Iratxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ramon Cibran fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Ramon Cibran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Ramon Cibran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerry Loiacono in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angel Inautzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Pablo Iratxo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Taladro Nórdico's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Iratxo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Inautzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Mannie kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Siro Jenaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the El Taladro Nórdico players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of El Taladro Nórdico booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Jenaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Inautzi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerry Loiacono showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, El Taladro Nórdico's Jerry Loiacono nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Inautzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 29thth minute of the game Jerry Loiacono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Angel Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Angel Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jerry Loiacono's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Inautzi was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Urbano Palben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Jerry Loiacono put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Angel Inautzi. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Jerry Loiacono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Inautzi. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Inautzi should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, El Taladro Nórdico's Pablo Iratxo got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Jerry Loiacono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Angel Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Loiacono came free, but Angel Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Loiacono, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Siro Jenaro hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Elvio Jerrald got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angel Inautzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. El Taladro Nórdico's Jerry Loiacono got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Lain in the 87th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Angel Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Loiacono in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Inautzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. River Plate's Angel Inautzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Lain in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Jerry Loiacono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Taladro Nórdico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Loiacono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the El Taladro Nórdico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
